Murphy Anderson Hawkman #2 Complete 12-Page Story "Wings Across Time!" Original Art (DC, 1964). The Winged Wonder flies solo for this tale as he tests out the wings of Icarus in the Gardner Fox penned back-up story for this issue. From that great splash page to the closing panel, this is some fine Murphy Anderson story telling. The pages were created at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 19" (including the stat paste-up header). The last page measures 13" x 11.5" to leave room for a DC house ad promoting the King Faraday / "I--Spy!" story in Showcase this same month. Page 1 of this story has a Hawkman stat logo paste-up, with some glue residue in the image area. There is a little bit of whiteout art and text correction on some pages. Page 8 and 11 have stripped-in text corrections that are taped in from the reverse side. This has caused discolorations on Pages 9 and 12 from the tape rubbing on them. Those pages are in Very Good condition, and the other eight pages are in Excellent condition. From the Murphy Anderson Collection.Auction Info
