    Description

Murphy Anderson Brave and the Bold #61 "Mastermind of Menaces!" Chapter 1 Starman and Black Canary Original Art Group of 8 (DC, 1965). Starman and Black Canary were both members of the Golden Age Justice Society of America, although at different times. Chapter 1 of the story "Mastermind of Menaces!" establishes that they knew each other well. Later stories in James Robinson's Starman series would indicate they were much closer. There are some great poses, but be sure to check out the costume change pose of Starman on Page 4! These pages were created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 19" (including the stat paste-up header). The logos and center text block on Page 1 are original stats (the logos held on with tape). Page 1 is a bit more toned than the rest of the pages. There is a stripped-in text correction on Page 8, which is a two-thirds page to accommodate a house ad in the published book. In Very Good condition. From the Murphy Anderson Collection.
