Description

Walt Disney Studios - "Sleeping Beauty" Briar Rose Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, circa 1959). The lovely Princess Aurora was protected from the evil witch Maleficent by assigning her the identity of Briar Rose, and sequestering her away deep in the forest. "Sleeping Beauty" was one of the most fabulously designed Disney films ever, based largely on the graphics and color stylings of Eyvind Earle, whose inspired art works were filled with magic and beauty -- his background paintings were often colorful stylized landscapes that, although not photo-realistic, nevertheless expressed a mystical feeling about nature. Earle's vision was carried throughout the film, even into the angular and sleek character designs. This animation drawing is graphite pencil on three-hole animation paper, measuring an overall 12.5" x 15.25", and in Excellent condition. Add a touch of enchantment to your art collection with this wonderful piece.
