Description
Tom McKimson Bugs Bunny #230 Two Stories Preliminary Original Art Group of 3 (Whitman, 1981). Bugs has another encounter with pirates and meets Merlin the Magician in this pair of comic book stories illustrated by Tom McKimson (1907 - 1998), the older brother of famous Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies animator/director Robert McKimson. The stories are "Pirate Plot" co-starring Yosemite Sam (twelve pages) and "The Magic Flute" with porky Pig and Elmer Fudd (ten pages with two attached Character Design sheets). The story art is in color markers on onionskin paper measuring approximately 13.75" x 19" with image areas of approximately 12.5" x 17.75". Each set of story pages are folded and stapled together in the top left corner. The design drawings are also folded and stapled to the story art. The first page of both stories are initialed by Tom McKimson. A copy of the published comic book is included. Art condition is about Good with handling and edge wear, plus some mild age-related toning.Auction Info
