DescriptionTom McKimson Bugs Bunny #227 Preliminary Original Art Group of 6 (Whitman, 1981). Preliminary drawings of the story "Fortune Cookie Crisis" featuring Porky Pig and Petunia Pig. Created by Tom McKimson (1907 --1998), an animator and layout man for Warner Brothers Studio during the golden age of animation. Afterward he joined Whitman/Dell publishing where these were produced. Graphite with green, red and blue ink on six sheets of 19" x 14" tracing paper. Basic handling with some tearing and age discoloration along edges; otherwise very good condition. They come with a color print of the front cover and first page of this segment of the comic book. A signed letter of authenticity from the artist's nephew -- Robert McKimson Jr. detailing provenance is included with each individual sheet.
