DescriptionSong of the South Limited Edition Sericel (The Walt Disney Company, 1994). This is a sericel from Walt Disney's full-length feature film "Song of the South," which was released in 1946. This limited edition sericel, "Brer Rabbit," recreates Sequence 52, Scene 727 of "Song of the South". Brer Rabbit springs into the live-action portion of the film with his characteristic bravado and ceaseless energy, as Uncle Remus begins to tell Johnny another fable. Walt Disney artists created this character image using a fine art screen-printing process called serigraphy. Limited to an edition of 5,000, this sericel has an image area measuring 13" x 10", and is in Excellent condition. This lot also includes a certificate of authenticity, which was signed by Marc Davis.
