Ronald McDonald Unique Prototype High Chair (McDonald's/Setmakers, 1975). After the initial success of the McDonaldland Playground in 1971, and eventually, the success of the Ronald's Rooms and Ronald's Party Rooms, Setmakers was on a mission to incorporate Ronald McDonald and Friends in every phase of the in-store McDonald's experience. The single rarest offering in this sale is the one-of-a-kind thermoform plastic vacuum formed, hand-painted (by Wes Cook) Ronald McDonald High Chair. Developed from Wes Cook's drawings, this is the original prototype of the Ronald McDonald High Chair that Setmakers presented to McDonald's. It stands approximately 50" x 24" with Ronald himself taking up 44". When the tray is removed, it shows Ronald with his two hands, palms up, to hold the tray. This was made and presented to McDonald's 43 years ago, who turned it down as it was deemed that it was too expensive to manufacture. This Wes Cook-designed Ronald McDonald High Chair is the only one in existence. The drawings that help create this lot are within this auction as well. Minor handling and surface wear. Very Good condition.
