DescriptionRobert Crumb - The Klezmorim "Streets of Gold" Serigraph Print, 150/150 (Alain Toupin, 2003). It's hard to believe the music from this original album dated to the mid-1970s -- by the look of the musicians on the cover, it should have come from the mid 1920s or '30s instead. Little wonder Robert Crumb took an interest in the old world sounds of "klezmer" music, as he has always gone in for that old time sound. Say, isn't that Mr. Natural and his wife standing to the side, enjoying the show? Oy! This lovely serigraph, the first and only fine art print of this image, consists of 15 hand-pulled colors on 20" x 20" Rives 220 gram weight cotton archival paper, with an image area of 16" x 16", and has been signed and numbered by Crumb in pencil. This is the last numbered print of the bunch; it's a special one, indeed! Includes a certificate of authenticity from the distributor of the edition, Art & Love of Music, who acquired the print directly from the publisher in 2003. From the collection of Barry Silbergeld of Art & Love of Music.
