DescriptionRobert Crumb Hand-Lettered Postcard to Ward Kimball (1975). While R. Crumb may be best known for his raunchy Underground comic strips like the ones featured in Zap Comix, he was a Disney fan growing up, like most kids were back in the 1950s. Here's an original postcard Crumb wrote to one of his idols and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men," Ward Kimball. In the note, Robert is looking forward to a visit from Ward; also mentioned as a possible guest is John Gibbons, the author of The Sad Book, which Crumb illustrated in 1967 while working at American Greetings. The card is in Excellent condition.
