Original Animation Art of Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner (Grantray-Lawrence, 1966). The Avenging Son, the Lord of Atlantis, the Monarch of the Seven Seas...Namor is all these and more. Created by Bill Everett in 1939, Sub-Mariner made his return to the Silver Age in Fantastic Four #4 in 1962, and was one of the headliners of the "Marvel Superheroes" TV show in 1966. Employing a very limited form of animation, cels from this production have always been extremely rare and hard-to-find. This classic image of Namor, probably based on a Gene Colan original, is done on a 10.5" x 8" piece of acetate presented on a peach background. The main figure is approximately 5.25" tall, and the art is in excellent condition. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity. It may never present itself again.
