The modern master of fantasy created this pencil and ink study in preparation for his illustration for the Robert E. Howard book, The Lost Valley of Iskander, published by Fax Collector's Editions in 1974. This iconic design was given an exotic and eerie power by Michael W. Kaluta's mastery of musculature and design. This piece has an image area of 6.5" x 9.5", and it's in Excellent condition. Kaluta signed the piece later in its lower margin.
