McDonaldland Mural Design Drawings Original Art by Wes Cook Group of 4 (McDonald's/Setmakers, c. 1970s). The magical world of McDonaldland lay just a few steps over the Golden Arches Bridge in these delightful graphite wall mural designs by the great Wes Cook. Mr. Cook's long artistic career included work as a Hollywood scenery painter, theme park designer and Disney Imagineer. The first of four designs features Ronald McDonald, Grimace, an Apple Pie Tree, Gobblins, a Hamburger Patch, and a stream full of Filet-O-Fish. Handwritten text beneath the image indicates that it was a revision to a Ronald-themed mural. The artwork measures 9" x 20.5" on 11" x 22" vellum which has been trimmed and pieced together with clear tape, and bordered with masking tape. The next two drawings are similar images of the Golden Arches Bridge. The first shows a distant panoramic view and the second a close-up, framed within three wall sections. The art on both pieces measure 9" x 9.5" on 11" x 11.5" white vellum with one sheet missing a 1" x 4" section in the bottom right corner. The fourth is a fully rendered mural of McDonaldland and its bridge measuring 8" x 15" on 14" x 20" vellum. All pieces in the lot show handling wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
