    Description

McDonaldland Grimace's Castle and Apple Pie Trees Original Art/Print Group of 5 (McDonald's/Setmakers, 1979). McDonaldland's landscape wouldn't be complete without Apple Pie Trees and Grimace's Castle. First in this lot is a sepia print of the original design for a Playland version of Grimace's Castle. It is dated March 6, 1981 and features scale measurements, design notes, and a logo treatment on 19" x 24" vellum. Second in the group is an expertly drawn three-dimensional Apple Pie Tree design in profile, facing, and overhead views. Rendered in graphite the overall artwork measures 14" x 12" on 19" x 24" vellum. Third in the group is a collection of three character study sketches of Apple Pie Trees. They are rendered in graphite on vellum ranging in size from 10.5" x 10" to 11.5" x 13". All items in this lot show edge and handling wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
