McDonald's Mural Design Drawings Original Art/Print Group of 3 (McDonald's/Setmakers, c. 1970s-80s). Custom wall murals were available to McDonald's franchises though Setmakers, Inc. They could be designed to incorporate specific landmarks and features of the town or city in which a franchise was located. In this lot of three original hand-drawn mural designs, two were created for particular locations. The first is a graphite rendering for a custom mural designed to the specifications of a store in Ingolstadt, West Germany. It features Ronald McDonald strolling amongst the Apple Pie Trees, Gobblins and Singing Hamburger Patch. The image measures 12" x 17" on 24" x 36" vellum and is designated "Proposal No 1." The second is a rough concept rendering of a mural showing Ronald leading a parade of McDonaldland characters as Mayor McCheese, Officer Big Mac, Grimace, and the Hamburglar (in a Paddy Wagon) follow close behind. The graphite image measures 9" x 23" on a sheet of vellum measuring 13" x 36" with neatly torn edges on top and bottom. The third is a Wes Cook-rendered image of Ronald and his Gobblin friends riding a tandem bicycle past the Cape May, New Jersey courthouse. This is a 8.5" x 17" printed image on adhesive film that's been applied to a Setmakers-branded vellum sheet measuring 18" x 24", and dated 6/12/78. A small 1.5" section of the top right corner has been torn off. All three pieces show minor handling and edge wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
