Matt Baker - War Comic Preliminary Original Art (c. 1950s). A powerful war concept from the amazing Matt Baker captures the moment before engagement. Plans unfold across a table. Troops tighten their grips and press forward. Though celebrated for romance comics, he also brought steady action to titles like Fightin' Marines and Canteen Kate. Graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 8.5". Toned, marginal spot stain (does not affect art), and handling/edge wear. In Excellent condition.From the Roger Hill Collection.
