    Description

Kelly Freas Crazy Magazine #3 Cover Preliminary Original Artwork (Marvel Comics, 1973). Freas, more often associated with MAD Magazine, also did stirring satirical work for Marvel's Crazy (the newsstand-magazine version), including this knockout conceptual piece razzing Clint Eastwood's Gothic Western, High Plains Drifter. A bonus attraction here (attached to reverse) is Freas' letter of acceptance from editor Marv Wolfman. Also included is a copy of the magazine, in approximately Fine condition. Watercolors and felt marker (two thicknesses) on rag-bond stock. Image area, 8" x 11", matted to 13" x 16.25. Excellent condition.
