Description

John Romita Sr. Spider-Man Preliminary Original Art (Marvel Comics, c. 1970s). Upon succeeding Steve Ditko as Spider-Man's lead artist, Romita approached the character in a distinctive and crowd-pleasing manner -- different and yet consistent with the established standard. This spontaneous conceptual drawing was designed to carry over the Romita style into a line of spin-off merchandise. Graphite on vellum. Signed in ink. Image area, 5" x 8.5". Light wrinkling and minimal smudging. Very Good condition.
