DescriptionJohn Higgins Watchmen #10 Cover Hand-Colored Blueline Art (DC, 1987). The original twelve issues of The Watchmen all featured covers designed to be the opening panel to the story inside, featuring a detailed close-up scene with no actual human characters shown. For issue #10, the image was a terrifying Defcon radar design. Colorist John Higgins, a remarkable airbrush artist, added color to a printed blue-line version of the line art, which is itself represented by a film overlay, to produce the final cover artwork as printed. The colored blueline has an art image area of 6" x 12", and both the blueline and line art overlay are in Excellent condition. From the Shamus Modern Masterworks Collection.
