John Gee Treasure Trails Magazine Covers Preliminary Artwork Group of 3 (1956). Three rare hand-painted cover concept paintings for Treasure Trails: The Magazine of the Children's Hour, by the great John Gee (1895 - 1977), of "The Timbertoes" fame. The art is in gouache/watercolor on illustration board, with image sizes of 7" x 10". Two of the pieces have penciled gridlines, added for redrawing in a larger size.
