DescriptionGreg and Tim Hildebrandt - Star Wars Shadows of the Empire Trading Cards: Leia and Xizor Preliminary Original Art (Topps, 1996). Shadows of the Empire was a multi-media spin-off from the regular Star Wars series that featured not only the usual cast of SW characters, but new faces such as the evil Prince Xizor, and the warrior babe Guri. The series was featured in comics, video games, toys, and trading cards. The 100-card set produced in 1996 featured the breathtaking artwork of brothers Greg and Tim Hildebrandt. Offered here is the tight preliminary pencil drawing used in production of the final painting. Entitled "Take that, Xizor!", this features the able-bodied Princess Leia executing an offensive move that would certainly stop any earthman dead in his tracks -- but Xizor's not from Earth! The piece measures 11" x 17" and is in Excellent condition, with minor edge wear and some light creasing in the upper right corner. The art is signed by both artists across the bottom edge.
