Garry Trudeau "Waiting for Mario" Doonesbury Daily 11-30-1987 Comic Strip NFT Digital Art Print Original Art #1/1 and Physical Print (Garry Trudeau, 2022). "Literary parody isn't exactly a staple of the comics - understandable considering the lack of a common syllabus in American education. But I thought drawing from the Theater of the Absurd to depict Mario Cuomo's ambivalence about a presidential run would work whether readers were familiar with Beckett's play or not. It also gave me another chance to move away from the strip's original aesthetic, which was spare and repetitive, towards something closer to the feel of a graphic novel." - Garry TrudeauAn original NFT celebrating the 50th anniversary of Doonesbury, minted by Heritage Auctions on behalf of artist Garry Trudeau.
Also included is a 17.25" x 7.25" black and white physical print that is titled and signed in the lower margin. In Excellent condition.
