DescriptionFrank Frazetta Tribal Warriors Preliminary Original Art (c. 1960s). Frazetta's conceptual pieces are as distinctive as his finished paintings. This spontaneous pencil-study includes three scenes of African tribal warriors on a lion hunt, alongside four female nudes. The finished version of the scene at upper left saw print as the cover of the Burroughs Bulletin #29 (1973). The distinctive signature is rendered in pencil. Graphite on lightweight manila layout paper, attached to protective foam-core backing. The image area is 17" x 11", matted to 24" x 17.25". The piece is in Excellent condition.
