DescriptionCarl Barks Uncle Scrooge #55 Cover Preliminary Original Art (Gold Key, 1965). Very rare preliminary cover sketch for the story "McDuck of Arabia," which first saw print as the February 1965 issue of Uncle Scrooge. Art is in blue pencil on onionskin paper, matted with an opening size of 10.5" x 13.5". Overall mat size is 16" x 20". The art is signed in ink along the bottom edge, with a Walt Disney Productions stamp directly below. A copy of Uncle Scrooge #121, which was the first reprinting of this cover art and story, is also included. Art is in Very Good condition, with mild toning and minor handling wear.
