DescriptionCarl Barks Dubious Doings at Dismal Downs Lithograph Progressive Proof Boxed Set #PP2 (Another Rainbow/Disney, 1986). Dubious Doings at Dismal Downs, Another Rainbow's ninth Carl Barks lithograph, is a continuous-tone, fourteen color lithograph inspired by the 1948 comic book adventure, "Donald Duck in the Old Castle's Secret," written and drawn by Barks. There are three Publisher's Proofs sets in this edition, this is PP #2. This progressive proofs set is comprised of 26 prints that have been numbered sequentially as to their on-press "progression." As each color was printed, a copy was pulled from the presses for each Proof set. The last Progressive -- the final print with gold leaf -- was signed by Barks. Each of the 26 prints is enclosed in a Mylar sleeve and is housed in a hand-crafted, blue foil-stamped, customized box. Each plate measures 25" x 21.5" and they are all in Excellent condition. There is wear and tape on the exterior box; otherwise its condition is Very Good. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
