DescriptionCaptain Crook Concept/Design Original Art Group of 3 (McDonald's/Setmakers, c. 1974-75). As he navigated the waterways of McDonaldland, Captain Crook was in search of only one thing -- Filet-O-Fish! Included here are three original graphite renderings of the Captain with two play unit concepts designed to resemble his ship. First is a magnificent full-body image of Captain Crook and his parrot, Matey. The Captain's appearance and dress changed dramatically over the years and this looks to be his final iteration. The art measures 13.5" x 6" on 17" x 14" vellum with "Captain Crook and Parrot" handwritten in the lower right corner. With it are two concept drawings of proposed McDonald's Playland structures based on the Captain's ship. Both measure approximately 8" x 10.5" on 14" x 16" vellum. All pieces show very minor handling wear. Condition is Fine.
