Description

Bob Larkin Crazy #19 Preliminary King Kong Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1975). Bob Larkin produced many great covers for Marvel's line of magazines. This terrific watercolor features a spoof of King Kong in his most famous scene on top of the Empire State Building. Even though it isn't the tightly rendered piece that ended up on the cover of Crazy #19, it still has a finished quality to it that will look good on anyone's wall. This lot includes the original concept drawing that Stan Lee, himself, doodled. Additionally, there are two other concept drawings that were more tightly rendered in marker. The drawings are done on 8.5" x 11" paper while the watercolor was executed on an 8.75" x 11.5" piece of illustration board. Each is in Very Good to Excellent condition
