DescriptionBilly Graham Eerie Preliminary Cover Original Art (Warren Publ., 1970). Graham, as art director for the Warren horror comics, also contributed a wealth of art to such titles as Eerie, Creepy, and Vampirella. This splendid small-scale conceptual piece -- a finished painting in its own right -- originated as a warm-up for a proposed cover that went unfinished. Graham later became known for his substantial contributions to Marvel Comics' Luke Cage, Hero for Hire and The Black Panther. Oils (including logotype) on unstretched canvas, mounted to a backing sheet. Image area, 8.25" x 11". Sporadic small blotches in paint. Very Good condition.
