DescriptionBernie Wrightson Frankenstein Preliminary Original Art (c. 1977-83). Many regard Bernie Wrightson's work on Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's Frankenstein to be his defining achievement. He began working on the illustrations in 1977, and the book was not finished and published until 1983, making this a labor of love to be sure. Here we have two rough layout designs for Chapter 2 illustrations. The two works are created in ink pen on the same sheet of 11" x 14" art pad paper. The page has been folded through the middle. Signed by Wrightson in the lower left, it is in overall Excellent condition.
