Arthur Rackham The Zankiwank and the Bletcher Witch Preliminary Sketch Original Art (Alpine House EC, 1896). Arthur Rackham is known for being one of the leading literary figures during the Golden Age of British book illustration. His illustrations have been paired with the literary classics such as Rip Van Winkle, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Gulliver's Travel's and more. Offered here is a preliminary sketch for his work in S.J. Adair Fitzgerald book The Zankiwank and the Bletcher Witch. Created in ink over graphite, and matted with an image area of 8.25" x 12". Mild toning, spots of soiling around the image, handling and edge wear, smudge marks around the edges, image is taped on the left side of the mat, adhesive stain on the reverse side.
