Description
Arnold Hicks, Pete Alvarado, and others Cover Preliminary Artwork Original Art Group (Gold Key, 1964-1977). This lot of eight preliminary designs were for the covers of Gold Key comics (with one exception being an interior page instead). The covers are for Little Monsters (by Arnold Hicks); Looney Tunes #13, and 14; Bugs Bunny #181 (by Pete Alvarado), and #183; Beep Beep The Road Runner #64; and Jonny Quest #1 (from 1964). The single page appears to possibly be The Inspector #13 Page 1, but that is just an educated guess from existing information. All are graphite with occasional color pencil highlights, most of these are on onion skin paper. Some are on Bristol board. The approximate image size is 10" x 15". Most have handling and corner wear, some small edge tears and tanning in onion skin pages. On average pages are in Excellent condition.Auction Info
