DescriptionAlex Schomburg 6th All-American Comic Book Convention Poster Preliminary Original Art and Signed Limited Print #288/300 Group (All-American Comic Book Convention, 1976). This is an amazing two-fer deal! First, we have the original Alex Schomburg pencils on a preliminary design for the poster for a 1976 comic book convention. They are loose pencils with just a bit of red, blue, and black ink background color. The pencils are on manila paper affixed to very faded blue construction paper. This is accompanied by a signed, limited edition print of the final artwork (#288/300) and the matching COA from 1977. The print is black ink printed on poster board which has tanned to a slight cream color. The artwork features an homage to the Golden Age comics where Schomburg made his name. There is a Captain America-ish character, a jungle girl, a Shadow-ish character, and a super-powered boy sidekick, all fighting a collection of typical Golden Age bad guys. Both the original artwork and print poster are in Excellent condition.
