    Description

Milton Caniff Terry and the Pirates Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-29-37 (Chicago Tribune, 1937). Around this time Milton Caniff's figures and backgrounds in Terry grew more realistic, and the heavily shadowed areas created a dramatic mood that quickly became a hallmark of all action-adventure cartooning. Ink over graphite with blue wash on Bristol board with an image area of 20" x 5.5". There is adhesive residue staining in the bottom border, and light overall toning and/or smudging. In Very Good condition.
