Milton Caniff Male Call Daily Comic Strip Miss Lace Original Art (Camp Newspaper Service, 1943). The first Male Call original that Heritage has ever offered. Flip through a reprint collection of the strip and we think you'll agree this is one of the most desirable examples of the strip's entire run. Most of the strips did not feature Miss Lace in every panel, let alone in the states of undress seen here. Male Call was produced exclusively for the newspapers of the armed services, and originals are rare. The title of the strip is "There's a War on -- Don't be a 'No Show'!" Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21.75" x 6". The board is tanned, with some handling and stains, and production tape in the left margin. Overall in Very Good condition. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
