Mike Sekowsky and Bernard Sachs Justice League of America #29 Story Page 4 Crime Syndicate of America Original Art (DC, 1964). Originally given to Don and Maggie Thompson by Julie Schwartz when the couple visited the DC Offices, this page has not been on the open market since then.
This super page from the second ever JLA/JSA team-up gives us three amazing things... The top tier features headshot comparisons of some Earth-1 and Earth-2 namesakes who have different looks. The Flash, Green Lantern, and Atom of both worlds are shown. The middle tier gives readers a capsulized history of Earth-3, as this was the issue that introduced this new Earth to the DC Multi-Verse. And the bottom tier gives us a group shot of the villains Crime Syndicate of America who were analogs of the Justice League... Johnny Quick (not the Golden Age Earth-2 character), Superwoman (really a doppelganger of Wonder Woman), Owlman, Power Ring, and Ultraman!
The page was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board at twice-up scale with an image area of 13" x 19" (including the paste-up header). There is a bit of whiteout clean-up and text correction in places, and there are glue stains in the bottom tier across the text and first three characters. In Very Good condition.
