Michael Golden and Armando Gil The Avengers Annual #10 Story Page 8 Original Art (Marvel, 1981). Rogue's first appearance was in this story and this page was the first time we readers actually saw her use her power-stealing abilities. Remember, she started as a villain! We daresay this story is the most memorable annual of the 1980s (of any title) and Golden's visuals were a major reason why. Golden didn't produce very much superhero art for Marvel, that means far too few originals to go around for collectors. The artist could deliver top action but also character bits -- witness the jocular scene in our last panel with Power Man, Hawkeye, Vision, the Scarlet Witch, Jocasta, and the Beast. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The lightly toned board has trimmed marginal corners on the left side, whiteout corrections, and is signed by Golden in the margin under Panel 1. In Excellent condition.
