Matt Baker - Original Splash Page Art for Crown Comics #5 (Golfing/McCombs, 1946). A case of gross misunderstanding is beginning in this splash page from Crown #5, drawn by Matt Baker. Photographer Ace Williams and his gorgeous assistant, Foggy Gibbons, are staying at a boarding house in Hopeville on a photography assignment. The landlady overhears their plan to "shoot" Dr. Alberts, an atomic bomb expert. Call the FBI! This piece measures an overall 13.5" x 15" with a 12.25" x 14.5" image area. The work is missing the logo section at the top and has an overall aging to the paper. Aside from these minor detractions, there is a great cheesecake shot of Foggy by Baker, a master of the female form.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
