Description

Mac Raboy Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-22-67 (King Features Syndicate, 1967). The Elders of Utra read the inner minds of Flash and Pancho, and the vague images suddenly come to life. The slick, clean lines of Mac Raboy seemed perfectly suited for one of the most popular space opera strips of all time! Raboy illustrated the Sunday feature for this series from 1946 until his death on December 12th, 1967, placing this strip just over a few months prior to his passing. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21" x 14". In Very Good condition, with light smudging and toning, production tape/adhesive residue, the paste-up logo is discolored, overall toning, with a bit of handling wear.
