Leonard Starr Mary Perkins On Stage Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-02-69 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1969). Starr tackles the Vietnam issue, via a draft-dodging actor who slips away to Canada -- except when a role crops up in the States. Diva Mary Perkins gives him a chewing-out, then announces his imminent arrest. As beautifully drawn as ever. The dialogue leaves no question as to where Starr stood, politically speaking. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Panels affixed to a backing board. Image area, 19.5" x 13.5". Toned, with adhesive seams. Very Good condition.
