    Description

Kelley Jones Batman #492 Cover "Knightfall Part 1" Original Art Cover (DC, 1993). You would have to be as mad as the Mad Hatter to pass up this fantastic cover! Not only was it for Part 1 of the long-reaching Doug Moench story arc that not only would ultimately see Bane break Batman's back, but that also sets up the Azrael-Batman story arc to follow! So this is the first of essentially a year and a half of stories. As you would expect, Kelley Jones' art is breathtaking. No one else does the shadows in Batman's cape like that. Rich, detailed work with great shadows and dynamic energy. Rendered in ink over graphite on DC cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo and Knightfall header are paste-up stats. The UPC box in the lower right is a paste-up stat also. In Excellent condition.
