In 1978 in Amsterdam, Art Spiegelman and Joost Swarte decided to work together for the mythical magazine Raw. The Dutch artist participates in its eleven issues and builds a strong friendship with Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly, one of the New Yorker's artistic directors. His referential approach allows him to make striking images, as shown by this illustration (image area of 7.5" x 10.5") combining ink and watercolors for the article "Slippery business" by Tom Mueller in the August 13, 2017 issue. In Excellent condition.
