Description

John Totleben Miracleman #15 Story Page 18 Original Art (Eclipse, 1988). A key page and one of the most important from the entire Miracleman series! Titled "Nemesis", this Alan Moore story could have been titled "The tragic Death of Johnny Bates", and that is exactly what is pictured on this page. There were many moments that drove home how "adult" this story was, but few if any were as hard-hitting as having the main character murder a child in cold-blood to prevent an almost unstoppable evil from coming back into the world. Miracleman was one of Alan Moore's early looks at how "men of steel" would live in a world of tissue paper. Graphic and powerful, this page was rendered edge-to-edge in ink and white paint over graphite on 11.5" x 17.5" Bristol board. Lightly toned and in Excellent condition.
