John Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man Annual #6 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1969). Romita, at the height of his power on Marvel's most iconic title! You just can't find a better Spidey cover featuring him with six of his most dangerous foes! Powerful Silver Age covers featuring major villains -- particularly full figures of Electro, Sandman, Kraven, and Mysterio -- are hard enough to find, but all Sinister Six on one cover is sensational! This is all JRSR art -- pencils and inks -- in a dramatic composition on one piece of Bristol board, not on vellum, which makes this even rarer... clean-lined, with very few art corrections. The logo and corner box are original stat paste-ups. This piece has been in the hands of a longtime collector and not on the market. With several of these characters showing up in Spider-movies, and with rumors of a Sinister Six movie, we expect this spectacular cover to get snapped up and not seen again for a long time! Signed by Romita in the lower margin, and produced in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The page is tanned, with some tape residue in the margins where the spine paste-up is missing, and there is a bit of glue residue in the image area. There's a stain through "World Color," outside the image area.
