    Description

John Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man #63 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1968). It is no small thing that we say this is one of the most striking covers we have ever seen for a title that is known for having some amazing covers already! It is on the list of many a Spider-Fan's Top Ten Spider-Covers. A unique feature of the cover is that Spider-Man isn't even on it, but his presence is certainly felt with that bold spider-signal wonderfully breaking up the dark background and lighting the figures of the Vulture and his fledgling protégé (also known as "The Vulture"). The cover for the story "Wings In The Night!" was rendered in ink over blue pencil on World Color Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box, logo, and all header dressing are stat paste-ups (with some glue residue near them and into the artwork). There are some whiteout art corrections. Also, both of the original Vulture's arms are original art paste-ups, as is Blackie Drago's right arm. There are some spot stains, overall toning and handling wear. There are minor tears on the top right edge and lower right edge. The board has been production hole-punched in the margins, and there are pinholes in the top margin. In Very Good condition.
