    Description

John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson Black Panther #5 Complete 22-Page Story Original Art (Marvel, 2005) Ulysses Klaw has aligned himself with an autocratic neighboring kingdom to bring war to Wakanda. Commanding a rogues gallery of Marvel villainy including the Rhino, Batroc the Leaper, Radioactive Man, and a misguided Black Knight, Klaw intends to finish the job he started when he assassinated T'Challa's father, T'Chaka, decades ago. A pulse-pounding issue of action from start to finish. T'Challas sister and MCU fan-favorite, Shuri, makes her fourth appearance in this issue. It's rumored that Shuri will be assuming the mantle of the Black Panther for Disney, making this art even more significant. John Romita Jr. swings for the fences with a cinematic blockbuster approach for his pencil work accentuated by Klaus Janson's inks to bring the Reginald Hudlin script to life. This story was Part 5 of the "Who is the Black Panther?" story arc. Hudlin and Romita paired up again, using this story arc as the template for the 2010 Black Panther animated series for BET. Ink and white paint highlights over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.75" x 16.5". In Excellent condition

More Information: EDIT: Inserted information about Shuri's role in upcoming Black Panther films. Added 22-Page Story to title.
