    Description

John Byrne What The--?! #10 X-Mas Special Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1991). A riff on Cloak and Dagger at Christmas time gets you "Milk and Cookies". A parody comic in the spirit of... ugh... Not Brand Echh! Marvel has a long tradition of taking pokes and shots at itself. It's all part of the fun. This cover by famed X-Men artist John Byrne was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The corner box, logo, and cover text are stat paste-ups. The "The What The ?!" banner is a stat paste-up on an acetate overlay for a color hold effect. There are some discolorations on Santa, the fireplace, and Cookie. Signed by John Byrne next to the UPC box. In Very Good condition.
