John Byrne and Terry Austin X-Men #142 Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1981). From Part 2 of the "Days of Future Past" storyline (which the most recent X-Men movie was based upon), this issue was titled "Mind Out of Time!" The page features some classic Wolverine and Nightcrawler art by superstar John Byrne (who signed it in panel 5). Also featured are Storm, Mystique (as Nightcrawler), and Avalanche. Even 33 years later, you can still see the power and promise of excitement in this page, and Byrne showed once again that characterization was just as much a strength of his as action scenes were. The bottom tier with its classic interchange between Wolverine and Storm was featured in The X-Men Companion Volume 2. Ink and marker over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Corners trimmed, slight tanning. In Excellent condition.
