Description
John Byrne and Terry Austin X-Men #129 Story Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1980). This issue was the very first appearance for both Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost (the White Queen of the Hellfire Club). And this page shows the first time Kitty intentionally used her phasing power! We also get Colossus, Wolverine, and Storm being strip-searched by the guards. The bottom banner shows that Dazzler would debut in the next issue. The team of Byrne/Austin was on fire during this period, a high-water era for Marvel's premier mutant title. The page was crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.25" (including the hand-lettered paste-up bottom banner for Dazzler).
