Joe Kubert Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #5 Cover Tarzan Original Art (Bob Overstreet, 1975). The Lord of the Apes stares steely-eyed from this fantastic cover for the most respected and longest-running price guide in the comic book market. It was only the second original art cover for the Overstreet CBPG, and it celebrated the 100th birthday of Tarzan creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs. Produced in ink, watercolor, and color crayon, over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 11.25" x 17.5". The logo is hand-colored and cut-out paste-ups. There is slight tanning, a bit of production tape in the side margins, and a very slight crease in the left side that is hardly visible at all. Overall in Excellent condition and a striking piece!
