    Description

Joe Kubert Action Comics #127 Vigilante Splash Page Original Art (DC, 1948). The Vigilante had a very long run in this series (1941-1954), but that's nothing compared to the longevity of Kubert. In his early twenties here he was already a veteran, and was still producing new art half a century later. This page is quite striking in person, with the villain El Boleadoro standing more than 12" high. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18.25". Part of the Vigilante logo is missing, and a word is missing from the text box at the bottom, leaving a hole in the board. Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
