Joe Jusko Spider-Man: Fear Itself Cover Painting Original Art (Marvel, 1992). Joe Jusko is a huge fan-favorite artist and he always delivers an amazing image! This action-packed painting has a host of characters on it: Spider-Man fighting the White Ninja, Silver Sable versus Baroness, and even wooden effigies of the Green Goblin and Doctor Doom in the trees. This was a stand-alone graphic novel, and should not be confused with either the 2009 Amazing Spider-Man: Fear Itself one-shot starring Man-Thing, or the 2011 three-issue mini-series Fear Itself: Spider-Man which spun out of that years' cross-company event of the same name. This huge image is acrylic on illustration board and measures a whopping 18" x 23". There is some water damage on the right hand side which has caused a small warp in the board, but the image itself seems unaffected. Colors are bright and vibrant and the piece if in overall Excellent condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
